Terms

Placeholder. Have this reviewed by a lawyer before you rely on it or collect personal information from real customers. It is not legal advice.

These terms are a plain-English draft for the Fairsaid MVP. They are not a contract you should rely on until a lawyer has reviewed them. The operator is Craig, an Australian sole trader. Add the legal entity, ABN, and contact details before launch.

What you are using

Fairsaid lets a business collect written testimonials and embed the ones it approves. You are responsible for the content you approve and for the claims you make in your own advertising.

Reviews and incentives

Australian Consumer Law applies to how you present reviews. The ACCC has published guidance on online reviews. Fairsaid’s defaults — showing every approved testimonial, labelling a filtered widget “Selected reviews”, and disclosing that an incentive applies to any review — are product behaviour. They are not legal advice, and they do not make a filtered campaign compliant on their own.

Do not ask only for praise. Do not publish a testimonial unless the person agreed it could be displayed. Do not pretend example data is a real customer.

Accounts and plans

The Free plan is limited to one space and 25 stored testimonials. Pro limits in the app are placeholders. The Pro price is not set. Stripe is not connected, and using this app does not create a payment.

The service can fail

This is an MVP. It is provided as-is, without a promise that it will be available, accurate, or free of data loss. Keep a backup of the SQLite database file if the testimonials matter.

Your content

You keep the testimonials you collect. You give the app permission to store and display them as the product describes. Do not upload anything unlawful.

Law

A governing law clause is not settled in this draft. Victoria, Australia is a likely choice and should be confirmed before launch.
